Rumbles calls out First Minister for playing politics with lives and livelihoods

North East MSP Liberal Democrat MSP Mike Rumbles has called out the First Minister for playing politics with international air corridors, after the Scottish Government yesterday added Spain to the list of air bridges despite the number of new daily cases being higher than when the UK opened the corridor earlier this month.

On 8th July the First Minister excluded Spain from the list of air bridges when their daily rate of new Covid cases was only 383, however figures reported today show that the number of has risen to 1527, yesterday.

Mr Rumbles said:  "This is the clearest evidence yet that the First Minister is putting politics above saving lives and livelihoods by just being different from Westminster because she can be."
