Mike Rumbles, Regional MSP for the North East has welcomed a grant of over £10,000 from the Big Lottery Fund to the Rothienorman Hall Committee who run the village hall. The money will come from the “Awards for All” fund, the National Lottery’s small grants scheme for projects that aim to help improve local communities.
The hall provides a venue for recreational activities and events including indoor bowling and coffee mornings. The grant will be used to commission a feasibility study and a community consultation into the expansion and improvement of the facility.
Mr Rumbles said: “The Rothienorman Hall provides a fantastic facility for people in and around Rothie. I am glad that they have secured funds to ensure the hall continues to provide an excellent service into the future.”
